Co-authors John Salerno, Betsy Tooker, and Chuck Miceli provide an engaging overview of their book, accompanied by a narrated visual presentation highlighting key moments from GOD is Watching the Apples and Tops Marketplace’s incredible history. Discounted copies will be available for purchase and signing.

January 16, 2026 – We are deeply grateful to everyone who joined us for the presentation of GOD is Watching the Apples at the Southington Veterans Breakfast at the Calendar House Senior Center. It was an honor to share our family’s story with so many veterans and community members.
January 14, 2026 – Co-authors John Salerno, Betsy Tooker, and Chuck Miceli presented their heartwarming and inspiring true story, GOD is Watching the Apples, at Southington Public Library.
The book explores how faith, resilience, and human connection transformed a small “box” store in rural Connecticut into a beloved community institution. A visual presentation highlighting key moments from the book and from Tops Marketplace’s incredible history accompanied the talk.
The library has several copies available for loan. Discounted books are always available for purchase and signing at events!
